Aiden has survived his first round of shots, and handled them like a pro. He now weighs 10 lb.s 4 oz. and is 22 inches long. Click on the picture below to view highlights from his second month.

Happy 85th Birthday Great Grandmom!
On Saturday we traveled up to PA for Aiden's great grandmother's 85th birthday lunch. Aiden did wonderful on the trip, and only fussed during lunch. He enjoyed being the center of attention!

In love with the ceiling fan
Aiden has discovered the ceiling fan in our family room this week, and he can't take his eyes off of it! He's more interactive every day. Saturday, Aiden will travel out of state for the first time for Great Grandmom Bruno's 85th birthday party. Monday is his dreaded 2 month appointment where he will get four shots.

He did it again!
Aiden slept through the night for the second time in less than ten days! Hooray! This time he slept longer too (from 9:30-6:30). It's so nice to wake up and feel rested!
Wanky!
Jim and I use the term "wanky" to describe when we are whiny and cranky (any idea who the term was first used to describe???) Well, Aiden has had a particularly wanky week. After the milestone of sleeping from 9:30-5 a.m. Saturday night, it seems he's been particularly wanky. He's still sleeping good at night, but during the day he will only sleep in my arms. Sometimes he won't even sleep in my arms, he'll just scream. I think he's going through a growth spurt, because he's also been eating almost every hour on the hour.

8 pounds
Aiden and I just got back from his one month doctor appointment. He now weights 8 pounds exactly. He gained 21 ounces in 19 days (the average weight gain for a newborn is 1/2 to 1 ounce a day). It definitely seems that his weight gain issues are behind him! It's hard to believe that yesterday was my due date and he would just now be arriving!
