Happy 1st Birthday Aiden!

I cannot believe that my little man is ONE today! Where has the year gone? A year ago at this time, Jim and I were sitting in a hospital room, scared to death about what was going on, and waiting to find out when my c/s would be scheduled for. Luckily we had the company of Aunt Lisa to take our minds off of our worries. Below are some pictures from Aiden's birthday. Expect lots of pictures from his party later tonight or tomorrow.

First Fluffy Butt

For various reasons, we've decided to start using cloth diapers at home. Aiden will still use sposies at daycare for the time being, since I have a huge stash in his closet. Below are pictures of Aiden in his first cloth diaper. So far, so good. We've even used cloth overnight with no leaks!

Playdate

I belong to a wonderful local moms group called Chesapeake Mommies. There are tons of events for mommies and kids, as well as the entire family. One of the events Aiden and I don't get to partake in too often are playdates, because they mostly occur during the weekdays (though we can't wait till summer!). However, today we went to a rare weekend playdate. Aiden had a ball playing with toys and socializing with other kids around his age. Since he just learned to crawl he was all over the place, which meant a nice long nap when we got home (he actually fell asleep on the two-minute car ride home!)

Ear Tube Surgery

Aiden had tubes put in his ears early this morning. He was such a trooper! I had to get a few pictures because the hospital gown was just adorable!

Crawling like crazy

Thanks to high winds, I had an unexpected day off of school (and we don't have to make it up since technically the kids were there, even if they never got off the bus!). When I went to pick Aiden up at daycare, his teacher Audrey told me he'd been crawling longer distances that morning. Boy, was she right. After lunch, Aiden crawled all around the first floor. In the series of videos below, I had him following me. He almost made it around the entire first floor. Next up: installing those baby gates!

Say a little prayer for Aiden-we are going to the ENT on Friday for a consult for tubes. Aiden got another ear infection this past weekend, complete with screaming, pain, and a 103.5 degree fever. This is his sixth ear infection in four months, and his second in three weeks. We are hoping for good answers on Friday!
